I love Lauren Conrad’s style. Her fashion sense is timeless yet fresh and contemporary. Her Beverly Hills home is exactly the same!Lauren Conrad’s home is decorated throughout with neutrals and then brought to life with colour and texture. Describing her style to InStyle magazine Lauren says “I definitely like neutrals, I like investment pieces.” This is a rule we should all follow to some extent. Investing in your primary furniture such as your sofa, kitchen units, dining table etc will make the rest of the designing easy peasy!
Lauren clearly loves the beauty of deep buttons in upholstery. This can be seen in a lot of her investment furniture. A girl after my own heart 🙂
Lauren Conrad says she purchased her home the same day she went on her second date with her now husband, William Tell. Their wedding this year oozed of a casual yet polished style.
A New York loft was the inspiration for the design. Lauren wanted a wide, airy interior. With high ceilings and the brick veneer on the fireplace wall the theme is certainly achieved.
The dining room has clearly been inspired by Art Deco. The dining table and chairs are vintage. With accents of black and gold it sings Hollywood glamour.
The kitchen has a very relaxed feel. The open shelving holds her everyday crockery. Open shelving in kitchens is bang on trend and the all white crockery makes it look clean and crisp. The use of fruit and flowers adds touches of colour and texture.
If I had to pick my favourite room in Lauren’s penthouse, it’s at this point that I’d struggle! How can I possibly chose between a mirrored bar with a black lacquered ceiling or a massive walk-in wardrobe? It’s like a asking a mother to choose between her two children!
